From goodreads:
It all comes down to this …
Chloe Lilywhite has struggled for years to find her footing in a series of dangerous and demanding worlds. Creator, first tier Council member, and one of the most powerful Magicals in existence, she was little more than one of Fate’s pawns. But now, Chloe is back home and ready to call the shots. She knows what she wants and who she wants to be.
Except the Elders never got the memo.
Annar and Magical-kind are under attack. The lives of Chloe’s loved ones, and life as they know it, are at stake. Chloe’s the key to taking the Elders down, but they won’t go quietly into the night.
This time, neither will Chloe.

Review…
This is the highly anticipated, bittersweet, final installment of the FATE Series and let me just say, I loved it!! My expectations were high and Heather Lyons delivered in every possible area. And I’m not sure how to even write this review because it’s impossible not to include spoilers but fear not, I will simply talk about how this book made me feel!
I came to really love Chloe because she evolved into a thoughtful woman. Having had a love/hate relationship with her in A Matter of Fate, we’ve clearly made progress but she owns who she is, warts and all but most importantly she’s at peace with her decision with regards to Kellan and Jonah.
What I will say is that I missed Kellan’s presence in the first half of the book. Don’t get me wrong, he’s mentioned and thought about but his voice was missing and I was thrilled when he made his grand entrance.
One of the things that worked well was the love triangle and the reason for that is…there were no villains! Everyone in the love triangle was a victim and that’s why I felt a bit melancholy when I was done reading. Do I think it’s possible to fall in love with two people at the same time? Not necessarily BUT I bought it hook, line and sinker during this series and that’s what counts.
It took a few days before I could actually read another book because I could not stop thinking about all the characters and their individual journeys. There’s so much more I could say but I don’t trust myself to NOT give something away.
What you can expect from AMoF is excellent pacing, fabulous writing, wistfulness, it’s heavy on the internal dialogue from Chloe and an ending that will leave you happy’ish but satisfied.

About Heather Lyons:
Heather Lyons has always had a thing for words—She’s been writing stories since she was a kid. In addition to writing, she’s also been an archaeologist and a teacher. Heather is a rabid music fan, as evidenced by her (mostly) music-centric blog, and she’s married to an even larger music snob. They’re happily raising three kids who are mini music fiends who love to read and be read to.

Thanks for the post and review, I enjoyed reading it. What do I do when faced with a difficult decision? I stress about it for awhile, talk it over with my husband, then do what I want anyway.
Hi Karen! Ugh…difficult decisions are the worst but I don’t know what I would do if I was in love with TWO amazing people!
Thanks for stopping by! ♥
Drat! I got book 1 when you posted the sale link, but I never read it! Need to do that SOON–especially if the wrap-up is a stellar as this one looks. Thanks for pointing this series out to me, Cristina. If it’s not already on my kindle (will check momentarily), I’ll be putting it on there immediately . . . but I’m pretty sure it’s already there
I think you’ll enjoy it or at least I hope you will.
♥♥♥
I skimmed your review, even though you said there weren’t any spoilers, because well, you just never know. LOL It’s always great when a series finale manages to live-up to your expectations. Thanks for the chance!
Sometimes I skim too because I’m always worried about spoilers! LOL!
It’s an enjoyable series, one that’s executed well.
This is the first I’ve heard of this series to be honest but I like NA’s that are not contemporary so I think I might give this series a shot! And the first book is only .99! Awesome
Great review, Christina!
Thanks Amir! I think you will really enjoy it. The triangle is a bit stressful and the first book will make you want to punch Chloe but every book gets better and better. It’s starts YA, then mature YA and then it moves into NA. And you are right…you can’t go wrong for $.99! ♥
Actually, I’ve been asking myself that question for a long time – is it possible for someone to love two men at the same time? For me, there are different kinds of love and we are capable of loving many at the same time, but there will always be that one person who we love more than the rest. In any case, I am deeply saddened I cannot enter the giveaway
Why must it be US/Canada only! Good luck to the participants anyhow! \o/

I’m not sure why authors don’t open their giveaways internationally. It seems so unfair. It’s not even my giveaway but if it were mine, ANYONE could enter. ♥ And this is that series, Chloe loves one more than the rest and that’s what makes it so gut-wrenching.
I don’t think I know this one but maybe I know about the other books… I’m glad you had such a great time with it mainly after 4 books! Thanks for the discovery and the lovely review!
Thank Melliane! The first book is currently on sale but it’s a good series overall, I loved it! It’s different because it has the UF aspect to it plus the romance which I love.
I’m glad you were satisfied with how this series went, sounds like Chloe went through some excellent character development. Thanks for the review, Cristina!
Thanks Jeann! ♥ She went through great character development indeed!
When I read the word “development” I was easily interested
Hi Jules!!! This series and heroine goes through much development. It’s INDIE at its best.
I actually haven’t read any of the books in the fate series but i’m truly happy you loved this book and that the ending just did it for you…now i sort of want to read it LOL! Plus…I do love the covers!
Lily
It’s an INDIE series and I think the series is FANTASTIC!
It’s heavy on the romance but those are my favorite kind of stories and throw in the element of urban fantasy and I’m in heaven! ♥
All of these covers look so pretty together! Okay, I finally got that off my chest. Anyway, it’s a pretty amazing feeling when a series wraps up nicely. I’m glad this one was amazing and that the characters developed throughout the series! Awesome review, Cristina!
Heeeeeeeeeeeeey Aimee!!! I do love the covers too! I’m glad the series wrapped up nicely because there’s nothing worse than the final book being a total flop!!!
I really really wish I want to read right now. I am so not in the mood to read anything! This series sounds so good, but my mind just doesn’t seem to want to do any reading.
Dre my friend….sometimes you have to embrace the reading slump you’re in and take a break from books. It happens to the best of us. I know with me, I had to take a step because I had so much going on that I couldn’t focus. When I was ready to tackle reading again, it was like a hole in my heart was filled. That might seem melodramatic but that’s how I feel.
Anyway, put your books in a safe place and come back to them when you are ready. Books and bloggers will always be here! ♥
