This is the fantastic follow-up book to Disastrous and I completely enjoyed it!  Does E.L Montes know how to do a prologue or what?  That was the most attention grabbing, gripping and emotional prologue that I’ve ever read! Frankly, I didn’t want the prologue to end because it was that good!

There’s less rollercoaster in this book but instead, more drama if that’s even possible and while there’s more drama there’s less angst.  Cautious really sums up everything from the first book, Disastrous, rather nicely and the ending was perfect.

The story moves at a good pace and the relationship between Marcus and Mia evolved into something more meaningful than just their physical attraction.  There was something missing about their relationship and I can’t quite pin-point what it was but I felt more depth was needed in their interaction.  But this story makes up for it in other areas of suspense, the steam factor and the overall package of Mia and Marcus’s journey.

Cautious is a story about healing, forgiveness, sacrifice and selflessness. You will be impressed with the writing style and how well this story flows, not to mention you will devour this book in one sitting!  If you’ve been waiting for the highly anticipated sequel to Disastrous, wait no longer because it’s here and you’ll love it!!!

“An outsider would have advised me to run like a bat out of hell, but sometimes you just had to crawl through the dark before you could see the light.”

I’m looking forward to the spin-off from this series, Fighting to Stand!!!  Jimmie DeLuca will finally get his own book and I can’t wait!!!! ;)
